However, if your alarm system is beeping to tell you the battery is bad, you should be careful that it doesn't leak battery acid all over the floor when you pull it out. There dead. Is the "unlocked" icon supposed to be lit At all times when the doors are unlocked? Or, should it go out after a period of time? I can see if the "locked" icon stayed lit when the doors were locked. If they weren't, you'd set off the alarm all the time assuming they were unlocked.

My battery checked out OK expect the charge was a little low on amps. Should be 525 CCA when the battery only read 460 Amps. And hte alternator was OK.

fellas, I had a viper alarm installed on my car professionally many years ago and it was pretty much a nightmare from the beginning. My battery drained very significantly and fast and probably 3 to 4 months after I got it i uninstalled once again by the same person from the shop.
